This DIY race car track is a boredom buster for sure! One of my boys’ latest obsessions is playing with cars. My sons can’t get enough of them…they never leave the house without one or two clutched in their cute little hands.
So the other day we had a little fun creating our own, DIY Race Car Track in the house.
I was inspired by the idea when I found this race car track tape and thought the boys could have a blast designing their own tracks.
This literally kept my kids engaged and happy a rainy afternoon! It was new, fun and allowed them to be inventive! They even got creative and added their own obstacles to the track!
DIY Race Car Track Materials:
All you need is some open space, race track tape, and a few cars.
The boys helped me roll the tape out on a roll of white paper that we had at the house. They wanted to have dual races so we put two strips of race track tape on the white paper.
Then, it was time to play with their DIY race car track. They would pull their cars back and release to see who’s car went the furthest. It didn’t take long before their imaginations went wild and they added their own obstacles to the track.
They had a great time racing over and over again!
Of course, there are so many deviations to the DIY Race Car Track! The possibilities are endless. The tape is also perfect for on the go entertainment. Think about how this could make a doctor’s appointment a bit more fun. Just a little tape on the exam table paper and a few cars will keep them entertained.
Watch those race cars as they race for the finish line!
