It’s time to start thinking about 2016 blog goals and resolutions. I love having New Year’s resolutions – gives me focus and direction for the brand new year! I’m ready to say farewell to 2015 and HELLO 2016! I have so many things I want to accomplish in 2016 and I’m going forward with positive thinking that this year will ROCK!
Here are some of my blog goals and resolutions – setting the framework to shape my future!
I love the community connecting with other bloggers and with my readers! This blog really started as a hobby as I transitioned to SAHM life and this year I’ve already learned so much. It’s such a positive outlet for me but let’s just be honest sometimes it’s quite the juggling act and I don’t ever even come close to accomplishing what I actually want to. How many of us would agree, there’s just never enough TIME?
So one of my blogging goals is to get my study on. Seriously, I’ve been really wanting to take some e-courses and I have a few in mind but I haven’t committed. Blogger friends, anything you’ve taken and found it helped you grow as a blogger?
I also want to develop my “system”. Often, I feel like I’m all over the place jumping from one social media platform to another. Inside my head it looks something like this, time to start writing my next post, ooops I want to read her latest blog post, click on post, comment, oh look that’s interesting, wait, how did I end up on Pinterest, oh yeah back to writing, uh oh the boys are awake! So here’s to a focused blogging system in place for 2016!
I want to start sending a LPB newsletter! Hopefully, I can get my “system” in place and get organized enough to get it started.
I’ve struggled with a few health-related issues on and off this year and haven’t had much success in getting a diagnosis, seems like something under the autoimmune disorders umbrella but I’m waiting to see a new doctor in January. So one goal is to continue to find strength on the tough days and to be patient as I wait for answers and a restoration to my health.
I’ve really wanted to get back on track with committing to a fitness routine but it’s been such a struggle. I still squeak in what I can but would love if I could find my happy place physically again this year.
Unplug once a month. I plan to put my phone down and shut down my laptop at least once a month. I believe in giving myself the opportunity to clear my mind and really be present without the distraction of responding to a text message or capturing photos (trying to take my own advice and take time to breathe).
Make more time for dates with my husband. A chance to relax and connect – maybe over a glass of wine rather than over sippy cups!
Read! One of my favorite things to do is to tuck my boys in at night and read books. Some nights reading gets lost in the shuffle of our nightly routine but I want to make sure it’s a priority. We also enjoy visiting the library and this summer we were regulars so I want to get back to at least bi-weekly visits.
Continue to watch my boys grow and cherish all these moments that are seriously going way too fast! Every time I look at photos, I just can’t believe how those moments are already in the past. Motherhood is my greatest blessing and I hope to continue to be my best to help my boys along on this wonderful journey of life.
Thank you all for following LPB! I genuinely love this community and am inspired by so many of you! Happy New Year!
