This is a great time of year to give gifts as small tokens of our appreciation to those special people in our lives and our children’s lives! We love to gift those who touch our lives, even if just a small gesture, to show our appreciation.
As much as the holiday season seems to start earlier and earlier each year, there is still somehow never enough time to finish everything on our list. Then with crazy shipping times and crowded stores, finding a thoughtful and cute gift can be a challenge. This year we are giving holiday gift cards that I picked up at Walmart – simple, useful and practical!
Now, instead of handing over just a gift card in an envelope, this cute and clever way to gift a gift card enhances the gift giving experience and still gives the person the gift card they are itching for! Being creative in the presentation not only shows you’ve put heart into the gift, but it makes it more interesting to the person receiving the gift card.
On our last shopping trip to Walmart, I noticed their awesome display of gift cards ranging from Apple iTunes, Fandango, to Domino’s and Red Robin. There is definitely something for everyone. We picked up a 3-pack of $20 Vanilla Mastercard Gift Cards to gift those on our list.
A Cute and Clever Way to Gift a Gift Card
Frame the Card
A picture frame playfully announces the gift card which is actually two gifts in one! And you don’t have to be a master DIYer for this idea.
HOW TO FRAME A GIFT CARD
Find a picture frame that you would like to gift. I used 3×5 frames.
Then, choose a holiday wrapping paper or scrapbook paper print that you would like as the background.
Cut the paper to the size of the frame. And then use glue dots or scrapbook adhesive to attach the gift card to the holiday paper inside the frame.
I love how these framed gift cards turned out! I can’t wait to get my holiday gift giving started, it makes us feel good to gift a little something to let people know how grateful we are to have them in our lives. It really is the small things that make a BIG difference!
Simply look for the holiday gift cards display on your next trip to Walmart and pick your favorites from the dozens of brands offered. Then, put the gift card in a frame for a clever way to gift a gift card.
