Welcome to Behind the Blog with Baby E, I’m excited to share about my little 9 month old boy today! I just can’t believe we are three-quarters of the way to his 1st Birthday! Baby E is growing and engaging with the world around him and trying to keep up with his brother. He is amazing and brings us so much happiness!

Eating Habits

He is reaching a stage where he’s not too happy to eat baby puree anymore! He sees the family eating something different and he absolutely wants to try. His favorites are yogurt, Cheerios, and bananas. Of course, he decided this after I stocked the pantry so I still try to sneak the purees in but often times he lets me know he doesn’t want it by swatting my hands away! He also loves reaching for brother’s water cup but he doesn’t like any of the ones I purchased specifically for him!9 Month Baby

Developmental

The latest and greatest is he LOVES to pull himself to a standing position whenever and wherever he can! I might just pretend I haven’t seen him taking little steps once in a standing position holding on to furniture or toys – where’s my little baby?!? He also moves with his scooter crawl, pushes with his right leg and glides on his left knee all over. Silly boy! He likes to clap and wave hi & bye! He’s still not sleeping through the night. His normal is waking up once and he goes back to sleep easily but right now he has his first cold so the last few nights he’s been awake more at night than sleeping, reminds me of his four-month sleep regression!

Personality

Baby E is a lovable, happy little boy. He is a pretty independent little guy – doesn’t want to be held much even though I still just squish and snuggle him but 9/10 times, he wants nothing to do with it! He’s still ok with letting Toddler E be in charge and he tends to go with the flow – he happily plays, goes for walks, and watches his brother. He has no problem letting us know when something is wrong – wah, wah, wah! :)9 Month Baby

Things he LOVES

He LOVES his brother! He follows his brother and his brother loves it – hope that lasts! He loves to dance, he will stop what he’s doing to give a little shimmy shake. He also loves pushing his activity walker – he is a little man on the move! And, he LOVES opening and closing doors and playing with door stoppers!

Mommy’s Corner

Baby E is 9 months and Toddler E is 2 years 9 months. My heart, mind, and body still pause when I see them bonding together – whether it’s the baby in the middle of the pile of blocks, while my toddler builds or when my toddler puts his arm around his brother in the stroller. I LOVE and TREASURE the interactions between them. Of course there are countless frustrations as well, often times the pat on the head or the hug causes Baby E to squeal (we are still learning gentle touch) and I still feel my heart drop when they both need me at the exact same moment. There’s a quote that resonates with me lately: “The days are long but the years are short.”

The Days are Long BUT the Years are Short QuoteWhat are your favorite milestones to observe in little ones? If you have more than one child, did you notice the other children progress faster?

Found you through the Peony Project. Loved the update!
My little one is 9 months old, too! We just got her Dr. visit stats. Same exact length as baby E, but under 20 lbs. Your cutie has 8 teeth already! Wow! We’ve only got 2 on bottom here. And both of ours have full heads of gorgeous hair!

Hi Lucy, thanks for visiting! The pediatrician even said “Wow, he has a lot of teeth!” Funny! My first baby didn’t get that many nearly as quickly! Crazy because they all kinda popped through simultaneously. Popping by your page now! :)

How sweet! Happy 9 months to your little one! I nanny for twins that are 11 months and they don’t have teeth yet!

I can totally relate to that quote. I have 3 year old twins and a 5 year old…all boys. Baby E is absolutely adorable. All that gorgeous hair and those eyes…amazing! Can’t wait to hear more about both your boys.
