Welcome to the start of a new week! It’s time for a little Monday Mantra to kick the week off with positivity! Let’s keep moving forward…
My weekend was a perfect blend of AWESOME!
We kicked off the weekend with BOTH boys sleeping through the night! This is a HUGE deal in our house. Baby E has just recently started sleeping through the night and Toddler E started waking up every night. Typical, right?!?
Well, Friday night we put the boys to bed and I checked the clock in the morning and it was 7:30, looked over and hubby was asleep in our bed in our room. Big deal over here! We do a lot of switcheroo…sometimes we go to Toddler E’s bed, sometimes he ends up in our bed. It’s just a toss-up!
The big news is my mom offered to watch the boys so hubby and I could have a date night! Crazy, how dinner out before kids was no biggie and now it’s a treasured event! So, we’re kicking the year off right (quality time with hubby is one of my goals this year)! Funny thing is we went to a nice Chinese restaurant, I guess there was a shortage in the kitchen because geez we waited for our food f o r e v e r and then when it finally came out the waiter apologized because they ran out of white rice. My hubby couldn’t understand how that happened but honestly quality time and conversation, while the kids had fun with Nana and Coach makes for a great night.
Sunday Funday was mostly spent as a family day with church and then some normal preparations for the week – you know the never-ending joys of laundry and cooking. This was a meatloaf + mashed potatoes kinda day. And then we had to watch the Steelers vs Broncos game (boooo the Steelers lost)!

Here’s what’s been on my heart lately…
There are moments and even entire days when it’s just plain hard. Sometimes we wake up with a case of the Monday’s just because…just because the demands of life are larger than we think we can handle. We might wake up and the kiddos are ready to rumble, then the day rolls on and the messes grow, and sometimes the demands become larger and louder.
More than likely, we all have moments like this. We might feel overwhelmed, vulnerable, stretched, and wondering if it will ever get any easier.
Realize that these are all just moments in time, they pass, new moments come, new challenges arise.
You are enough. This is one moment in time. Keep moving forward.
I can’t tell you how many times, I just thought I didn’t have anymore to give waking up at night with my boys and then just like that, the stage passes. These are all moments in time.
So if you are feeling a case of the Monday’s, just remember you are not alone. This journey is worth celebrating and there are surprises around every corner!
