Hey Hey Lovelies!
Can’t believe it’s the first Friday in February! This was one of those weeks that just sort of flew by! I’m sharing some very random favorites with you today!
one. Let’s just talk about how I’m pretty obsessed with Aldi. Do you have an Aldi near you? It’s not always the most convenient place to shop with my boys but the prices are just too good so it’s totally worth the extra effort. I’m getting more and more obsessed with their healthier organic options. Picked up organic spinach, flaxseed, applesauce and I also buy lots of the boys’ snacks there!
two. We had a popcorn and movie night this week and simple family moments like that are my favorite types of things to do. Eli (my 3-year-old) is just now starting to get interested in movies and currently he loooves Monsters, Inc.! It’s so fun to get cuddled up and share snacks and spend some family time. I’m pretty clueless honestly about what other movies to share with him, any suggestions?
three. One of my favorite posts I read this week was shared by my friend Dominique at Writing Mother Fashionista. If you have boys then check out her post, Raising Boys – I know I could relate!
four. Here’s my son, Eli who decided before bed to swing on his rope (indoor play gym) in his boots and bar (more of his clubfoot journey here)! He’s my hero and nothing stops him! He has such a strong, passionate personality – parenting this little guy has been far from easy. He’s definitely the one that gives us the run around about everything but I just can’t help but love his stubborn, strong-willed personality – he loves hard, plays hard, and he’s one smart cookie!
five. I just have to share this with you! So we’ve had this Dinosaur Chia Pet for about 3 weeks now which was a gift from Nana to the boys (so sorry Nana, we really do like it). How cute, right?!?
I followed the directions precisely (only exception being it hasn’t had much sunlight). It took f o r e v e r to sprout even the tiniest root so I started thinking dino was a dud. At that point, he was about to take a trip to the trash can BUT THEN the next morning we saw life! We saw a few sprouts and it was pretty intriguing, my hubby would say how it kinda creeped him out, but he was still fascinated enough to get close and stare.
Sooo I’ll say it’s a little snarly but the boys enjoy checking dino’s growth every morning so we’ve kept him. And not to mention, dino sits on my countertop and has been a great conversation starter for anyone who comes by. Like, the gentleman who came to fix our microwave.
Microwave Repairman: “what’s that?”
Me: “a Chia pet”
Microwave Repairman: looking closely, hesitantly responds “oooohhh, cool”
Me: turn 50 shades of red
Will someone please, please tell the crazy lady who put the seeds on the Chia Dino to be a little more careful next time! This little dino is sprouting in places I’d rather not explain!
You should try Toy Story with Eli! My three year old nephew LOVES Monsters Inc and Toy Story. He can watch it over and over!
Perfect suggestion Courtney! Have a great weekend!
Alidi’s is amazing! We don’t have one near us now, but we did in Maryland. I loved how many gluten-free options they had. My aunt still sends me gluten-free gift boxes.
Yes, they do have A LOT of gluten free options and all so affordable – it’s wonderful! What a sweet aunt you have to send you a package! :)
Eli is such a cutie!! I love seeing pictures of him active in his bnb, it really shows that nothing stops him. We have movie night planned for tonight, it’s the best night of the week!! Have a great weekend Erin! xo

Awww Dominique you are so kind! Hope your movie night is fun and I hope you have a great weekend!
Yes! My 2 year old loves Toy Story! Also, if you have Netflix Home and The Nut Job are really cute.
Thanks, Jenn for the suggestions! We haven’t seen Home yet but I thought it looked super cute and I haven’t heard of The Nut Job but we will add both to our movie list!! Have a great weekend!
