Cereal for Mealtime

This post is sponsored by Soapbox Influence in partnership with The Women Bloggers, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Do you think of cereal as one of your pantry staples? We all know that we can start the day with a bowl of cereal but what about that midday snack or even a bowl of cereal for lunch or dinner. We all have those nights, don’t we? When we’re scratching our heads trying to figure what to make for dinner? When our kids are impatient and we’re just plain out of good ideas? When you rush home from after school activities and everyone is starving?

It might not be the norm for everyone to think of cereal to satisfy hungry tummies beyond breakfast but what about those frequent snacks during the day or even as a meal at lunch or dinner. I mean add a cup of fruit and the kids will think it’s the coolest thing! There are many good reasons to incorporate cereal into your weekly meal-planning!

Nutritious

Set sail on an adventure with Marshmallow Mateys®. The frosted whole grain oat cereal has 12 essential vitamins and minerals and no high fructose corn syrup. With a sweet, toasted oat flavor and a treasure of marshmallows hiding within, they are a delicious treat any time of day. This is a favorite cereal in our house!

Cereal for Mealtime

Inexpensive

Malt-O-Meal® brand cereals come in over 30 delicious varieties, there should be something for everyone to love. They’re less spendy and still so tasty. And if you don’t love them, they’ll refund your money.

Kids Can Help

Cereal is a meal children can help practice pouring the cereal and milk and it’s pretty easy for them to grab a bowl and a spoon. Give someone the task of washing the strawberries or peeling the banana and you’re meal is set with the help of the kids!

Cereal for Mealtime

Tastes Good

Cereal is filling and it’s satisfying. There are so many varieties to choose from that you’re sure to find one even your pickiest eater will like.

Cereal for Mealtime

Having a bowl of cereal anytime of day is a quick meal that is sure to fill those hungry tummies! There are also many quick and easy snacks to create with the Malt-O-Meal cereals that make snack time fun and tasty! Try these Peanut Butter Cup Pretzel Rods for a snack for the whole family!

Peanut Butter Cups Pretzel Rods

Peanut Butter Pretzels

Ingredients:

12 Pretzel Rods

1/2 cup Chocolate Morsels (I used sugar free chocolate chips)

2 cups Malt-O-Meal Peanut Butter Cups Cereal

Directions:

  1. Melt chocolate by microwaving for 45 seconds, stirring and repeating until melted and smooth.
  2. Spoon pretzel rod to cover about ½ way in chocolate.
  3. Allow excess to drip back into dish.
  4. Press Peanut Butter Cups cereal on to the rod and place on prepared sheet to set.
  5. Place in freezer for 5 minutes.
  6. Pull back out and add any extra cereal to fill any space on the pretzel rods.
  7. Allow pretzel to set in refrigerator (about an hour)

These Peanut Butter Cups Pretzel Sticks made with cereal were so darn good that my kids gobbled them up. The best part is they are a no-bake treat that is fun for all to help make, and they are mighty tasty!
