This Monday Mantra is inspired by all the opportunities I had through the last few weeks to visit with family. Time with family is invaluable to me. Whether it’s immediate family, extended family, family by marriage, or family by choice – family time really is the best time. To me, spending time with family should be a judgement-free zone of laughter and love and the memories created will be long-lasting.
I hope your holidays were wonderful, exciting, memory making times spent with family and friends! Now maybe it’s time to face the reality that it’s time to go back to work, back to school, and back to the daily grind of everyday life.
Do you feel like all the excitement and anticipation just comes to a screeching halt?
It doesn’t have to be that way. Just think back to how many memories were created with the people you love. And the fortunate thing is that there doesn’t have to be a reason to continue spending time with the ones we love and creating memories that last a lifetime.
There is no set date. No expiration. No time limit.
Quality family time can happen anytime during the year.

We were blessed beyond measure to create memories with family the last few weeks – brunch at my mother’s house, dinner at my father’s house, time spent with my mother-in-law, time spent with my hubby and kiddos, and even a night away with my brother, sister-in-law and all our five crazy boys who are all age 3 and under (more on that trip here)!
So here’s to a fabulous week! Remember there doesn’t have to be a special occasion or reason to create memories – every day can be memorable!
What’s one thing this week you will do to create memories? Bring it Monday…

So so true! So many of my memories from childhood are little moments spent with my family or friends, and those little moments added up to something beautiful! :)
Thanks, Lauren! I’m with you, I have such an appreciation for just soaking in these small moments now with my kiddos – like you I remember the smallest things that now are “special” memories!
Love this. We always have a little bit of family time during dinner and right after where we play with our daughter (her choice – can be games, sports, reading books, playing hide and seek) when my hubby gets home from work. It’s wonderful because I know she looks forward to us spending time together :)
