Happy Friday! I’m excited to be linking up this week to share my #littleloves with you. We’ve had such a gloomy week here with cloudy skies and quite a few rain showers. There’s just something about a sunny day that brings out the best in me – I’m more cheerful and more energized. The gloomy days just make me drag my feet, searching for a burst of energy.
The rain doesn’t stop us though. We still stay busy but it limits our playground play which doesn’t make the boys too happy. This week we prepped for our upcoming vacation. There’s always so much that has to be done ahead of time – laundry, packing, and I like to clean so the house is in order when we return.
This Week I Am Loving…
If I’m honest, I haven’t read a book just for enjoyment in forever. With our upcoming vacation and now that the boys are getting better with sleeping, I thought I would get a book to read if I get some free time. So, I turned to the library and downloaded Here’s to Us by Elin Hilderbrand. So far, so good!
Armed with popcorn and sippy cups, the boys and I watched Moana. It’s quite likely that I enjoyed it more than they did! Why is it that they want to watch a movie and then about halfway through they’re on to bigger and better things, while I’m sucked in and just can’t turn it off. I guess I’ll just toss that up to #toddlermom problems. :)
My son made a fun picture from some pop out shapes from a book his grandma bought him.
I went to dinner with my bestie for my birthday and I wore this PinkBlush top. I love the delicate details at the top but the top is still perfectly comfy. We had a great time conversating over dinner and it’s probably the first time I ate an uninterrupted meal in a long time. ;)
I listened to a wonderful podcast by GodCenteredMom. It was episode 69 about calmly parenting the strong-willed child. This podcast was really good, it definitely hit the nail on the head. It’s always great to listen to something and actually have a “take away.” There were great strategies suggested that I’ve already started implementing. I will definitely tune again to her podcasts in the future.
June 3 is World Clubfoot Day! The goal of World Clubfoot Day is to raise awareness about clubfoot disability and its treatment that includes gentle manipulation of the feet followed by the application of plaster casts and temporary bracing. My oldest son was born with clubfoot and you can read more about our journey here. Have a happy weekend, lovelies!
