Working From Home and Motherhood. Sharing how to integrate my home business and motherhood // LovePeaceBeauty

Becoming a Stay at Home Mom

I became a stay at home mom (SAHM) with very short notice and preparation. What a tough decision in today’s financially demanding world to leave a full-time job to be a stay at home mom! I anticipated returning to my teaching job after taking a planned 12 weeks off after my son’s birth.

Things quickly changed though as we began to jump over some unplanned obstacles and juggle parenthood with two kids – we realized we would not be ready for the transition back to me working full time. Life was hectic before and it got crazier when I became a mom of two babes – two years and under. We decided I would be a stay-at-home-mom for the remainder of the school year.

Supplemental Income

I knew I needed to supplement our family’s income both for my peace of mind and for our monthly budget. I turned to my mom for support. I decided to become an Independent Avon Representative in order to essentially integrate stay at home mom with work at home mom (WAHM).

My mom has been an Avon Independent Sales Representative since 1997 so I grew up using the products and it was my first line of skincare and introduction to makeup. Over the years, I continued to be an Avon customer as I have always been happy with the products and affordability, not to mention the product satisfaction guarantee.

I never considered myself a business person but I really have enjoyed the freedom and flexibility of working for myself. I find time to work my business around my children and even with my children. As a shy person, I’ve had to step outside of my comfort zone a time or two, such as offering a brochure to the cashier when I bought my son a new pair of shoes, but I’ve found a way to work the business in a comfortable fit for me.

If you want more information or want to join my team please contact me! Maybe you are looking for a way to supplement your income too or maybe you want to be a customer…feel free to check out the products. Avon sells itself with fabulous product selection and great quality cosmetics and skincare.
